News: Rehearsal images released for Jersey Boys in the West End

Rehearsal images have been released for Jersey Boys, which is set to open at the West End’s newly reinstated Trafalgar Theatre on 10 August, with previews from 28 July.

A new, dynamic young cast are set to take on the iconic roles, with Ben Joyce in his professional debut as Frankie Valli, Adam Bailey (The Book of Mormon, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert) as Bob Gaudio, Benjamin Yates (Wicked, Cats, School of Rock the Musical) as Tommy De Vito and Karl James Wilson (Dirty Dancing, White Christmas) as Nick Massi.

With a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick EliceJersey Boys features by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe, and is based on the true story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

Further cast members include Ben Irish as Bob Crewe, Mark Isherwood as Gyp de Carlo, Elliot Allinson as Swing, Koko Basigara as Lorraine, Melanie Bright as Mary Delgado, Jack Campbell as Swing, Carl Douglas as Norm/Hank, Matteo Johnson as Joe Pesci, Huon Mackley as Swing, Jacob McIntosh as Barry Belson, Bonnie Page as Swing, Andy Smith as Swing and Helen Ternent as Francine.

Jersey Boys goes behind the music and inside the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Just four guys from New Jersey, when they sang their very first note they had a sound nobody had ever heard – and the radio just couldn’t get enough of.

The production is directed by Des McAnuff, with choreography by Sergio Trujillo, scenic design by Klara Zieglerova, costume design by Jess Goldstein, lighting by Howell Binkley, sound by Steve Canyon Kennedy and projection designs by Michael Clark. Orchestrations are by Steve Orich and the music supervision and vocal arrangements by Ron Melrose.
