Olivier Award winner Janie Dee popped into the Theatre Cafe for a chat with Nicky Sweetland about her upcoming show at the Crazy Coqs. She also answered questions about her career and the huge success of Follies at the National theatre, which has earned her another Olivier Award nomination.

Janie Dee brings a brand new cabaret to Crazy Coqs, accompanied by her friend and colleague, musical director Alex Parker. This fresh and intimate evening features music old and new from Sondheim to Tim Connor. Dee has drawn upon a repertoire that resonates with the past, present and future as she looks to 2018 and beyond.
Dee is one of Britain’s best celebrated actresses; most recently appearing in Follies at the National Theatre to critical acclaim where she was nominated for the Evening Standard Award for her performance. Prior to this, she played the title role in Linda at the Manhattan Theatre Club, New York. Other recent West End credits include Hand to God, Ah, Wilderness!, and Blithe Spirit with Angela Lansbury. She also played Dolly in Hello Dollyat Leicester Curve.
