News: Sister Act Launch Party

Last week Sister Act invited us to their launch party at Heaven night club in London. The evening was filled with sequins, show stopping tunes and even a visit from Mrs Doubtfire herself!

Sister Act The Musical will run at the Dominion Theatre this summer, with their opening night on the 15th March 2024.

The evening began with the hilarious Carl Mullaney welcoming us to Heaven, before the spectacular cast performed the popular numbers Take Me To Heaven, The Life I Never Led and Fabulous, Baby! led by Beverly Knight and Lizzie Bea with Ruth Jones providing us with the ultimate comedy factor.

As well as providing us with heaven worthy vocals and performances, we were also invited to get our faces decorated with sequins, offered Sister Act themed cupcakes, provided us with a 360 photo booth and the opportunity to dance to some party classics.

The launch party showed us that this show is certainly not one to be missed this summer, promising powerhouse vocals, spectacular costumes and a whole lot of fun.

The cast include Beverly Knight, Ruth Jones, Lesley Joseph, Lemar, Clive Rowe, Lizzie Bea, Alison Jiear and Carl Mullaney. Joining them is Caroline Bateson, Natalia Brown, Damian Buhagiar, Tricia Deighton, Lori Haley Fox, Lauren Hall, Chloe Hopcroft, Tom Hopcroft, Bradley Judge, Claudia Kariuki, Graham MacDuff, Castell Parker, Emma Ralston, Anne Smith, Michael Ward and Jermaine Woods.

From the 10th June there will be a cast change with further casting to be announced soon.

Sister Act has direction by Bill Buckhurst, choreography by Alistair David, Set and Costume Design by Morgan Large, Musical Direction by Neil MacDonald, Lighting Design by Tim Mitchell, Sound Design by Tom Marshall and Musical Supervision by Stephen Brooker. Casting is by Stuart Burt.

Sister Act features original music by Tony and 8-time Oscar winner Alan Menken (Disney’s Aladdin, Enchanted), lyrics by Glenn Slater, book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner with additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane. Sister Act is produced by Jamie Wilson, Kevin McCollum, Gavin Kalin, Front Row Productions, Evolution Productions, Tulchin Bartner Productions, Robbie Wilson and Curve.
