News: Chicago To Embark On A New UK Tour

Chicago will embark on a UK Tour later this year.

Set in the 1920’s, Chicago follows the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer, who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly by hiring Chicago’s slickest criminal lawyer to transform her crime into headlines.

The iconic musical was created by theatre talents, John Kander, Fred Ebb and legendary choreographer Bob Fosse. Chicago’s score include the show-stopping songs “Razzle Dazzle”, “Cell Block Tango”, and “All That Jazz”. Winner of six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards and a Grammy, Chicago is the longest running American musical in Broadway and West End history. The production has travelled worldwide, played in 38 countries and translated into multiple languages.

The UK Tour of Chicago will open on the 12^th October 2024 at the Milton Keynes Theatre before travelling around the UK. The venues at the beginning of the UK Tour are listed below, with further venues still to be announced for the end of the year and 2025.

19^th – 23^rd November 2024: Mayflower Theatre, Southampton (Tickets on sale 22^nd February)

25^th – 30^th November 2024: Stoke Regent Theatre (Tickets on sale 20^th February)
