Musical Ordinary Days has released exciting production shots ahead of its digital stream via The Theatre Café, available from 31 March to 6 April. The show is on sale for £15.00 now!
Adam Gwon’s musical is a touching show about how ordinary things are just what makes life so extraordinary. The story follows four young New-Yorkers trying to find their way: a woman who cannot let things go; a man who wants to start afresh; an artist who struggles to find his purpose; and a student who has lost her thesis notes.
The score is packed with vibrant and memorable songs, which ring true to life. It’s a musical for anyone who has ever struggled to appreciate the simple things in a complex place. With equal doses humour and poignancy, it celebrates individual stories come together in unexpected ways.
Daniel Smith from Pickle Stage Productions is to direct and design the show, with musical direction from Ben Barrow, plus a new cello arrangement from Jessica Brydges.
Cast includes Will Arundell (A Christmas Carol at the Dominion Theatre) as Jason, Nic Myers as Claire, Joe Thompson-Oubari (Zorro the Musical at Cadogan Hall) as Warren and Bobbie Chambers as Deb.
Ordinary Days will be staged and filmed in a theatre, prior to streaming. Originally planned as a spring tour, the production team has risen to the challenge of continuing the project during the latest lockdown.
