News: Bat Out of Hell the Musical to tour the UK and Ireland

Smash-hit, award-winning Bat Out of Hell the Musical is set to tour the UK and Ireland from September 2021. Performances are set to begin at Manchester Opera House.

Based on Jim Steinman’s masterpiece Bat Out of Hell, the production returns after a smash-hit season at the Dominion Theatre in the West End.

Casting is yet to be announced for the UK and Ireland tour.

The musical has won the Radio 2 Audience Award for Best Musical at the Evening Standard Awards, plus was nominated for eight WhatsOnStage Awards, including Best New Musical.

Featuring a host of songs from the phenomenal album, numbers include “I Would Do Anything For Love, (But I Won’t Do That)”, “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad”, “Bat Out of Hell” and more.

An epic story of rebellious youth and passion, the show follows Strat, the immortal leader of The Lost, who has fallen in love with Raven, the beautiful daughter of the tyrannical ruler Falco.

Bat Out of Hell the Musical features a book, music and lyrics by Jim Steinman, direction by Jay Schieb, choreography adapted by Xena Gusthart, musical supervision and additional arrangements by Michael Reed, set and costume design by Jon Bausor, original costume design by Meentje Nielson, video design by Finn Ross, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe, sound design by Gareth Owen, orchestration by Steve Sidwell, original casting by David Grindod CDG and UK casting by Anne Vosser.
