Alexandra Burke is set to join Jason Donovan and Jac Yarrow in the upcoming return of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at The London Palladium.
The star takes on the role of The Narrator, with performances beginning Thursday 1 July and playing for a strictly limited season.
Burke’s credits include The Bodyguard, Sister Act, Chess and Chicago, after first rising to fame on The X Factor in 2008. She joins the previously announced Donovan as Pharaoh and Olivier Award-nominee Yarrow as Joseph.
This production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat previously enjoyed a sold-out season in 2019, with audiences and critics alike celebrating the production. Directed by Laurence Connor (School of Rock the Musical), creative team includes choreographer JoAnn M Hunter, award-winning set and costume designer Morgan Large, lighting designer Ben Cracknell and sound designer Gareth Owen.
Packed with favourite songs including “Any Dream Will Do”, “Go Go Go Joseph”, “Close Every Door to Me” and “Jacob and Sons”, this is the legendary musical that is guaranteed to be the event of the summer!
