The Wizard of Oz is concluding its major UK and Ireland tour with a limited four-week run at The Gillian Lynne this summer. Today full casting has been announced for the West End run.
Joining the previously announced Aston Merrygold (only performing on selected dates) as The Tin Man and The Vivienne as The Wicked Witch of the West are Allan Stewart and Alex Bourne who will be reprising their touring roles as The Wizard. Other touring cast members will be continuing their roles into the West End run: Aviva Tulley as Dorothy, Benjamin Yates as The Scarecrow, Nic Greenshields as The Cowardly Lion, Emily Bull as Glinda The Good Witch and Abigail Matthews as Toto. Femi Akinfolarin will appear as The Tin Man on some dates.
The company is completed by: David Burrows, Adam Craig, Cole Dunn, Tyler Ephraim, Olivia Kate Holding, Thomas Kalek, Kelsie-Rae Marshall, Martin McCarthy, Rose Ouellette, Fanja Parent, Alexandra Regan, Nathan Routledge, Sydney Spencer and Sadie Levett, who was previously a singing server at The Theatre Cafe Diner before embarking on The Wizard of Oz Tour. We are extremely excited for Sadie to be coming to the West End with The Wizard of Oz.
The beloved musical, based on the iconic story by L. Frank Baum will play a strictly limited London season of 38 performances only at the Gillian Lynne Theatre from Thursday 15 August – Sunday 8 September 2024. 2024 marks the 85th year since the timeless film was released.
