News: First look at Curve’s concert The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber

Leicester’s Curve have released a first look at their upcoming Made at Curve production of concert The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, which celebrates the extraordinary songs, musicals and memories of the composer.

Playing at the venue from 7 to 19 June and directed by Nikolai Foster, artistic director of the Curve, the show brings to life Lloyd Webber’s magical musical songs.

Cast includes Madalena Alberto (Evita), Jessica Daley (An Officer and a Gentleman), Tim Howar (The Phantom of the Opera), Shem Omari James (Songs For A New World), Ria Jones (Sunset Boulevard), Karen Mavundukure (The Color Purple) and Tim Rogers (Jesus Christ Superstar).

Andrew Lloyd Webber will also guide audiences through the performance in specially pre-recorded scenes filmed at Curve and around Leicester.

The concert has musical direction from Matthew Spencer-Smith, design by Colin Richmond, movement direction by Mel Knott, lighting design by Ben Cracknell and sound design by Tom Marshall, with casting by Kay Magson CDG.
