News: Presenters and performers announced for 21st Annual WhatsOnStage Awards

West End faces have been announced as performers and presenters of the 21st Annual WhatsOnStage Awards, which will be streamed live from The Turbine Theatre on Sunday 14 March at 7pm.

A unique ceremony that celebrates theatre and its audiences, the WhatsOnStage Awards will be presented by Jodie Prenger and Tom Read Wilson, alongside Amy Hart and Oscar Conlon-Morrey.

There will be performances from industry stars representing shows that were cut short due to the pandemic, and those that are set to open soon.

The line-up includes Cedric Neal performing “Gotta Start Somewhere” from Back to the Future the Musical, which is set to open at the Adelphi Theatre this summer.

Lizzie Bea will perform “You’ll Never Walk Alone” from Carousel, ahead of her star turn as Tracy Turnblad in the London Coliseum’s upcoming production of Hairspray.

Newcomer Ivano Turco will perform “Only You, Lonely You” from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s brand new musical Cinderella, after performing the number on BBC’s Musicals: The Greatest Show.

Only Fools and Horses’ Oscar Conlon-Morrey and influencer Amy Hart will make appearances to highlight some of the work being done by the theatre community on and off the stage.

In a change from the WhatsOnStage Award’s normal format, the public will be nominating Angels – someone in their life that has been a source of love, support, and kindness during the pandemic. 21 Angels will be announced during the ceremony and will receive a complimentary night at the theatre once live performances return.

Tickets are £21.
