News: Wicked celebrates 15th birthday in the West End

Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award-winning musical Wicked celebrates its 15th birthday in the West End at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. The production is currently booking until 22 May 2022.

The show is set to play a celebratory performance attended by composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz, as well as a host of former cast members.

Wicked is also soon to celebrate its 18th birthday on Broadway, and is the ninth longest-running West End musical of all time.

Cast for the reopening includes Laura Pick as Elphaba, Sophie Evans as Glinda, Alistair Brammer as Fiyero, Kim Ismay as Madame Morrible, Andy Hockley as The Wizard, Carina Gillespie as Nessarose, Nicholas McLean as Boq, Simeon Truby as Doctor Dillamond,  Amy Webb as Standby for Elphaba and Charli Baptie as Standby for Glinda.

Further casting includes Meg Astin, Rebecca Botterill, Lauren Brooke, Grace Chapman, Michael Colbourne, Conor Crown, Lewis Easter, Nolan Edwards, Joseph Fletcher, Fraser Fraser, Rebecca Gilliland, Lucie Horsfall, Nick Len, Will Lucas, Nicole Lupino, Stuart Maciver, Carl Man, Rhidian Marc, Jessica-Alice McCluskey, Stacey McGuire, Emmie Ray, Natalie Spriggs, Scott Sutcliffe, Genevieve Taylor, Samantha Thomas, Grant Thresh, James Titchener, Libby Watts, Chiarina Woodall and Tom Woollaston.

Wicked has music and lyrics by legendary composer Stephen Schwartz and is written by Winnie Holzman, based on Gregory Maguire’s multi-million-copy bestseller Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.
