News: West End women unite for digital retelling of hilarious hit Disenchanted

An all-star cast of wonderful West End women unite for a digital retelling of the smash-hit, hilarious Off-Broadway musical Disenchanted.

Streaming from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 April on stream.theatre, this show-stopping online revival sees leading ladies of the stage transform into the princesses we know and love – with a twist!

Iconic heroines include Jodie Steele (SIX) as Snow White, Sophie Isaacs (SIX) as Cinderella, Grace Mouat (& Juliet) as Pocahontas, Millie O’Connell (SIX) as The Little Mermaid) and Shanay Holmes (Rent) as The Princess Who Kissed the Frog, plus Courtney Bowman (SIX), Natalie Chua (Bat Out of Hell the Musical), Allie Daniel (Rent), Aisha Jawando (Tina – The Tina Turner Musical) and Jenny O’Leary (Heathers the Musical).

Disenchanted revamps the classic ‘happily ever after’ tales into an empowering all-female musical romp, as a band of not-so-merry princesses become keen to rewrite their tales as old as time. Tossing away their tiaras and setting the record straight, the royal renegades are here to comically belt out some fairy-tale truths.

The musical features a book, music and lyrics by Dennis T. Giacino, and received nominations for Outer Critics Circle and Off Broadway Alliance Awards. It will be directed by Tom Jackson Greaves, with musical direction by George Dyer, make-up design by Abbi Rose and hair design by Charlotte Wilkinson. It was filmed at The Umbrella Rooms.
