News: Comedian Tom Allen to join The Showstoppers’ Alternative Eurovision Song Contest

Comedian and The Great British Bake Off star Tom Allen returns as commentator for The Showstoppers’ Alternative Eurovision Song Contest for the second year running.

Set to provide cheeky, irreverent voiceover comedy, the comedian joins the Olivier Award-winning team on their acclaimed annual production, which follows the success of last year’s glitterfest.

Playing on Saturday 15 May, the show features an all-star cast of celebrities, including Les Dennis, Russell Kane. London Hughes and Le Gateau Chocolat, as well as Grace Mouat, Jordan Gray and Mike McShane, plus special guest performers!

A parody of Europe’s most popular competition, the show features brand new songs to parody your favourite Eurovision genres, with expert commentary and interactive voting.

Join The Showstoppers as they recreate the sensational production values, high camp and musical madness.

In 2020, the event raised over £7,000 for The Care Workers’ Charity, with this year’s show also contributing to the same charity.
