News: Thespie streams International Women’s Day concert event

Thespie have announced an International Women’s Day concert event to livestream on their platform, including talks with SIX co-creator Lucy Moss, Strictly’s Ore Oduba, Hamilton’s Jamael Westman and more.

There will be eight new online theatre and arts events throughout March, spanning several artists talks with theatre professionals of varying disciplines, particularly women creatives.

Their highly-anticipated The Reunion x Girl Power, taking place on 8 March, is a double-feature of concerts filmed in October and December of 2020, including previously unreleased behind-the-scenes footage and interviews, along with an artist Q&A created specifically for International Women’s Day. A two-hour event, it stars Aimie Atkinson, Alexia McIntosh, Grace Mouat, Millie O’Connell, Natalie Paris, Maiya Quansah-Breed, and Jarneia Richard-Noel.

Thespie continues its free-to-view informal chat series Thespie Thursdays, this month featuring women theatre creatives including Lucy Moss, co-creator of SIX (4 March), theatre producer Danielle Tarento (11 March), casting director Olissa Rogers (18 March) and stage director and head of all-women theatre company Damsel Productions Hannah Hauer-King (25 March).

There will be new instalments of free artist talks In the Roomincluding Strictly’s Ore Oduba (3 March), Hamilton’s Jamael Westman (10 March) and performer Sharon Rose (24 March), plus Les Misérables’ Shan Ako (31 March).
