Ahead of her Christmas at Leicester Square show with jazz favourite Anthony Strong, star of Evita and Wicked, Emma Hatton will join us for a Facebook Live Q & A on 11 December at 12:30.
The diminutive singer and actress, who has been universally praised for her outstanding portrayal of both Eva Peron and Elphaba, presents Baby It’s Cold Outside at the popular central London venue next Thursday 14th December, teaming up for the very first time with friend and collaborator, Anthony.
Audience members will be treated to an evening of songs, performed by Emma and Anthony, including numbers from her iTunes chart-topping jazz EP Merry Christmas, Darling and a sneak preview of the new album, out next year.
Emma said: ‘I’m incredibly excited to be singing with Anthony. I’ve always had an absolute passion for jazz, blues and soul and have been focusing heavily on that side of my music recently, performing at the London Jazz Festival, Zedel’s, Pizza Express venues and Kettner’s. From our earliest collaboration, I knew I wanted to continue working with Anthony – he’s a genius musician, arranger and singer and it’s a privilege to present a show together.
As to what lucky ticket holders can expect, Emma revealed: “It’s a real celebration of Christmas. With just ten days to go our aim is to get everyone into the seasonal spirit, to sit back and enjoy traditional arrangements and new spins on favourite festive songs and jazz standards. The Leicester Square market is a great place to start, with mulled wine and mince pies aplenty; it may be cold outside but we’ll make sure hearts are warmed!’
