RuPaul’s Drag Race superstar Alyssa Edwards is set to sashay into the West End for eight performances of her world premiere show Alyssa, Memoirs of a Queen. The show runs at the Vaudeville Theatre from 7 to 13 June.
For one week only, audiences can get up close and personal with the Queen, as she tells her story of transforming from a young gay boy in Mesquite, Texas, to rising to global fame on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 5, as well as a triumphant return to Season 2 of the All Stars show.
After recently starring in critically-acclaimed Netflix docuseries Dancing Queen, Alyssa Edwards now brings her autobiographical extravaganza, complete with iconic costumes, high kicks and splits, spectacular dancers and outrageous tongue pops.
The world premiere is brought to life by writer Brad Loekle, director Spencer Noll, designer Libby Tood, lighting designer Gillian Tan and video creator Dekel Lazimi Lev, plus producers New Frame Productions.
