Rehearsals have begun for Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical, which means that brand new rehearsal images have been released of the cast.

Get a first look at Arinzé Kene as Bob Marley, alongside Gabrielle Brooks as Rita Marley, in this world premiere with a book by Lee Hall and direction by Clint Dyer. The musical opens at the West End’s Lyric Theatre this October.

The production partners with the Black Ticket Project to distribute 1,000 for performances in the first booking period.

Rehearsals begin for the production in the week of Jamaican Independence Day (6 August), fusing the finest reggae musicians in an exhilarating story of struggle, freedom and transformation from Trenchtown to the West End.

Full cast includes Arinzé Kene as Bob Marley, Daniel Bailey, Craig Blake, Charles Blyth, Gabrielle Brooks as Rita Marley, Melissa Brown Taylor as Marcia Griffiths, Maxwell Cole, Athena Collins, Michael Duke, Kimmy Edwards, Raphael Estavia, Henry Faber, Cannon Hay, Shanay Holmes as Cindy Breakspeare, Savanna Jeffrey, Natey Jones as Peter Tosh, Sophia Mackay as Judy Mowatt, Rohan Pinnock-Hamilton, Cleopatra Rey, Julene Robinson, Jacade Simpson as Bunny Wailer, Nate Simpson, Archie Smith, Declan Spaine, Jaime Tait and Teddy Wills.
