Adam Blanshay Productions, Edward Johnson and Steven M. Levy have announced a major new London revival of Stephen Schwartz’s Tony Award-winning musical Pippin at Charing Cross Theatre.
The musical is set to play for 7 weeks only at the London venue, staged in the round and featuring an ensemble cast of eight players. The show will run from Wednesday 30 June to Saturday 14 August.
There’s magic to do when a prince learns the true meaning of glory, love and war in this iconic and unforgettable musical masterpiece…
Pippin features an infectiously unforgettable score from four-time Grammy winner, three-time Oscar winner and musical theatre giant Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, The Prince of Egypt).
The story of one young man’s journey to be extraordinary, the musical won four 2013 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival.
Set in 1967, Pippin is a young prince with extraordinary dreams and aspirations, and he is on a quest to find passion, fulfilment and meaning.
With book by Roger O. Hirson, this revival is set to be directed by Steven Dexter, with star casting and creative team to be announced soon.
