
A first listen has been released of Ryan Anderson singing “Corner of the Sky”, ahead of musical Pippin opening at the Charing Cross Theatre this month. The production runs at the venue until 14 August.
Pippin is Stephen Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson’s iconic musical masterpiece, with this production staged in the round and directed by Stephen Dexter.
Cast includes Ryan Anderson (Bat Out of Hell the Musical, West Side Story) as Pippin, reprising the role that he played at the Garden Theatre last summer, Ian Carlyle (We Will Rock You, Five Guys Named Moe), Alex James-Hatton (The Book of Mormon, Heathers the Musical), Daniel Krikler (Present Laughter), Gabrielle Lewis-Dodson (42nd Street), Natalie McQueen (9 to 5 the Musical, Kinky Boots), Genevieve Nicole (Guys and Dolls, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Jaydon Vijn (Starlight Express).
With an unforgettable score from multi-award winner Stephen Schwartz, Pippin is the story of one young man’s journey to be extraordinary. Winner of four 2013 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival, the musical continues to captivate audiences throughout the world.
Creatives include director Steven Dexter, choreographer Nick Winston, musical superviser Michael Bradley, designer David Shields, musical director Chris Ma, lighting designer Aaron J. Dootson, sound designer Keegan Curran and casting by Anne Vosser.
