News: Hairspray reschedules run to begin 22 June at the London Coliseum

The highly-anticipated new production of Hairspray the Musical has announced that it will reschedule performances, with a run beginning Tuesday 22 June.

The multi award-winning smash-hit musical is set to play at the London Coliseum until Wednesday 29 September.

Hairspray stars Michael Ball as Edna Turnblad, Paul Merton as Wilbur Turnblad, Lizzie Bea as Tracy Turnblad, Jonny Amies as Link Larkin, Marisha Wallace as Motormouth Maybelle, Rita Simons as Velma Von Tussle, Georgia Anderson as Amber Von Tussle, Kimani Arthur as Inez, Mari McGinlay as Penny Pingleton, Ashley Samuels as Seaweed J Stubbs and Michael Vinsen as Corny Collins.

With book by Mark O’Donnell and Thomas Meehan, the musical features music and arrangements by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Shaiman and Scott Wittman, direction from Jack O’Brien, choreography by Jerry Mitchell, set design by David Rockwell, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Kenneth Posner, sound design by Steve C. Kennedy, wigs and hair by Paul Huntley and casting by Jill Green CDG.
