Grace Mouat and Andrew Patrick-Walker are set to lead a brand-new British musical. From Here premieres at Chiswick Playhouse from 1 to 31 July.
Mouat is best-known for SIX and & Juliet, as well as Hair at The Turbine Theatre. Patrick-Walker’s credits include Bat Out of Hell the Musical at the London Coliseum, Brooklyn at Greenwich Theatre and Hair at Hope Mill Theatre.
Further cast includes Nicola Espallardo and Aidan Harkins, who both performed in The Pirate Queen at the London Coliseum.
From Here: A New British Musical is directed by Annabelle Hollingdale (resident director Spring Awakening at Hope Mill Theatre, assistant director Heathers at The Other Palace).
The musical considers where we might find ourselves in five years – do we long for more, for a happy ending, or for a new beginning? It explores how reaching the end of one chapter, or beginning the next, may not always provide us with the results we expect.
From struggling to find friends in a school playground to first dates and learning to live again after finding yourself along, these musically interwoven stories tell of characters trying to decide whether to run headfirst into trying again, or whether to hold fast.
Written by Ben Barrow and Lucy Ireland, this contemporary song-cycle offers audiences the chance to reflect on where they are and where they are going.
Produced by Dominic Gray at Red Piano Productions, From Here features casting by Sarah Goggin for Harry Blumenau Casting.
