Disney’s Frozen, which opens at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane this August 2021, has announced their children’s cast. The production reopens the newly refurbished venue, which underwent an extensive two-year reset.
The musical officially opens on 8 September, with previews beginning 27 August. Frozen features music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus a book by Jennifer Lee and direction by Michael Grandage.
Newly announced children’s cast, playing Young Elsa and Young Anna, include Minaii.K as Young Elsa, Kanon Narumi as Young Anna, Sasha Watson-Lobo as Young Elsa, Asanda Masike as Young Anna, Freya Scott as Young Elsa, Ellie Shenker as Young Anna, Tilly-Raye Bayer as Young Elsa and Summer Betson as Young Anna.
Full cast includes Samantha Barks as Elsa, Stephanie McKeon as Anna, Obioma Ugoala as Kristoff, Craig Gallivan as Olaf, Oliver Ormson as Hans, Richard Frame as Weselton, and alternating the role of Sven, Mikayla Jade and Ashley Birchall; with Jeremy Batt, Cameron Burt, Lauren Chia, Laura Emmitt and Emily-Mae as Bulda.
Further cast features Hannah Fairclough, Danielle Fiamanya, Chris Fung, Matt Gillett, Joe Griffiths-Brown, Emily Lane, Justin-Lee Jones, Jason Leigh Winter, Jacob Maynard, Leisha Mollyneaux, Gabriel Mokake as King Agnarr, Sarah O’Connor, Jemma Revell, Joshua St. Clair as Pabbie, Jacqui Sanchez as Queen Iduna, Jak Skelly as Oaken/Bishop, Jake Small, Kerry Spark, Isabel Snaas, Monica Swayne and Anna Woodside.
Produced by Disney Theatrical Productions under the direction of Thomas Schumacher, Frozen opened on Broadway in March 2018 and earned three Tony Award nominations including for Best Musical.
