News: First look at world premiere of new musical The Sorcerer’s Apprentice

New images have been released of world premiere musical The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, filmed last week at Southwark Playhouse and to be streamed online via digital platform stream.theatre from Friday 26 February to Sunday 14 March.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is a new musical by Richard Hough and Ben Morales Frost, with direction by Charlotte Westenra. It explores the extraordinary world of a sorcerer and his rebellious daughter, as she discovers the explosive possibilities of her newfound magical powers.

Cast includes Nicola Blackman, Dawn Hope, Mary Moore, Marc Pickering, Yazdan Qafouri, David Thaxton, Tom Bales, Ryan Pidgen, Vicki Lee Taylor and Kayleigh Thadani.

Creatives include writer Hough, composer and orchestrator Frost, director Westenra, musical director Alan Williams, choreographer Steven Harris, puppetry director Scarlet Wilderink, set and costume designer Anna Kelsey, lighting designer Clancy Flynn, sound designer Ella Wahlstrom, puppetry designer Maia Kirkman-Richards and magic consultant Scott Penrose.
