News: First look at The Secret Society of Leading Ladies performing

The Barn Theatre have released a first look at the upcoming digital musical theatre event entitled The Secret Society of Leading Ladies, which provides a new innovative format that allows the viewer to make decisions and control the set list.

Conceived and directed by Ryan Carter and running from 22 February to 7 March, the digital musical theatre event will see the viewer making decisions to see the songs they want performed come to life online and will reward die-hard musical theatre fans as well as invite a new audience to discover the world of musical theatre.

Star-studded casting includes Jocasta Almgill (& Juliet), Lauren Byrne (SIX), Kayla Carter (Rent), Aoife Clesham (Fiver), Allie Daniel (Rent), Abbi Hodgson (SIX), Aisha Jawando (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical), Claudia Kariuki (Priscilla Queen of the Desert), Natalie Kassanga (Dear Evan Hansen), Emma Kingston (The Last 5 Years),  Kayleigh McKnight (Bend It Like Beckham), Ellie Mitchell (Chicago), Jarnéia Richard-Noel (SIX) and Kelly Sweeney (Hair).

Focusing on princesses and dreamers to villains and divas, the concert will present the viewer with five “Choose Your Player” screens, which will prompt them to decide the character they wish to introduce next.

With over 150 combinations for the viewer to choose from, each character is introduced with a short scene before taking to the stage to perform a number. The concert will close with a finale that features all fourteen characters.

Creative team features creative director and concept creator Ryan CarterLeo Munby (The Last 5 Years, Gypsy, Company) as musical consultant, sound engineering by Harry Smith, editing by Ben Evans and videography by Jamie Scott-Smith.

Two ticket types are available for the production, both £10 Single Stream tickets, which give access to watch the concert once at their selected time, and £15 Unlimited Stream tickets, which provides one day-access to the concert, allowing the viewer to experience as many combinations as they wish within their allotted time.
