News: Barn Theatre announce casting for new song cycle Now or Never

Barn Theatre have announced full casting and creative team for upcoming livestream Now or Never – a new British song cycle with an ambitious digital twist.

Written by associate artist Matthew Harvey, the show follows seven people as they take a defiant act of positivity in their last week on Earth.

Casting includes Eloise Davies (Be More Chill), Ahmed Hamad (Rent), Matthew Harvey (Les Misérables), Irvine Iqbal (The Boy in the Dress), Lucy St Louis (Man of La Mancha), Katie Shearman (The Sound of Music UK Tour) and Courtney Stapleton (Dear Evan Hansen).

Now or Never is the first collaboration between Barn Theatre and associate artist Harvey, who created the song cycle to write about individual responses to global adversity without writing specifically about the pandemic.

The show includes sound design by Harry Smith, musical supervision by Freddie Tapner, creative direction from Ryan Carter, direction of photography by Ben Collins, supported by Ben Thomas & Alex Tabrizi.

This ambitious digital spin presents the work as a non-stop, one-shot, song cycle, with one camera navigating the entire building, featuring seven characters moving between seven spaces. It will be streamed live for one night only.
