
After extending its critically-acclaimed London run at Charing Cross Theatre until 5 September, Stephen Schwartz’s Pippin releases an exclusive performance of “Magic to Do”, which is to be featured in Episode 8 of hit web series The Theatre Channel.
Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson’s musical has been revived in an immersive production at the venue, directed by Steven Dexter. With an infectiously unforgettable score from Grammy and Oscar Award-winning and musical theatre giant Schwartz, Pippin is the story of one young man’s journey to be extraordinary.
Winner of four 2013 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival, Pippin continues to captivate and appeal to the young at heart throughout the world. Set in 1967, we follow Pippin, a young prince with extraordinary dreams and aspirations on his quest to find passion, fulfilment and meaning in a joyful and life affirming revival.
Cast includes Ryan Anderson as Pippin, Ian Carlyle as Leading Player, Alex James-Hatton as Lewis, Daniel Krikler as Charles, Gabrielle Lewis-Dodson as Fastrada, Natalie McQueen as Catherine, Genevieve Nicole as Berthe and Jaydon Vijn as Theo.
Creative team includes choreographer Nick Winston, musical supervisor Michael Bradley, designer David Shields, musical director Chris Ma, lighting designer Aaron J. Dootson, sound designer Keegan Curran and casting by Anne Vosser.
