A new UK tour of Olivier, Tony and Grammy Award-winning Beautiful – The Carole King Musical is set to open at Curve, Leicester on 28 February. The production will play until 12 March before visiting venues across the country.
The show will be directed by Nikolai Foster (Sunset Boulevard, West Side Story).
Beautiful previously ran in the West End for two and a half years before two successful UK tours. It will feature a talented cast of actor-musicians performing countless classics including “You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman”, “Take Good Care of my Baby”, “You’ve Got a Friend”, “Up on the Roof”, “Locomotion” and “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling”.
Creatives include orchestrator Steve Sidwell, adaptions by musical supervisor Sarah Travis, choreographer Leah Hill, set designer Frankie Bradshaw, costume designer Edd Lindley, lighting designer Ben Cracknell, sound designer Tom Marshall and casting director Kay Magson CDG.
Beautiful is written by Douglas McGrath, with songs by Carole King, Gerry Goffin, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.
