News: Be More Chill to play limited season in the West End

It’s happening! Fan favourite musical Be More Chill is set to receive a West End season at the Shaftesbury Theatre this year, playing a limited 10-week performance schedule from 30 June to 5 September.

The musical originally opened off-Broadway with music and lyrics by Joe Iconis and a book by Joe Tracz, which is based on the novel by Ned Vizzini.

The original cast from The Other Palace run return to the musical, including Blake Patrick Anderson as Michael Mell, Miracle Chance as Christine Canigula, Stewart Clarke as The Squip, Eloise Davies as Brooke Lohst, Scott Folan as Jeremy Heere, Christopher Fry as Mr Heere, Mr Reyes and others, James Hameed as Rich Goranski, Gabriel Hinchliffe, Eve Norris, Millie O’Connell as Chloe Valentine and Miles Paloma as Jake Dillinger.

The squips are coming! Be More Chill sees a misfit high schooler discover the secret to being cool – swallowing a super computer called a squip that will help him learn how to fit in… But to what end?

Be More Chill is directed by Stephen Brackett, with choreography by Chase Brock, set design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Bobby Frederick Tilley, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, sound design by Ryan Rumery and projection design by Alex Basco Koch.

The production has associate direction by Gavin Mitford, musical supervision and orchestrations by Charlie Rosen and music vocal arrangements by Emily Marshall. UK casting is by Will Burton.
