After the success of last year, Olivier Award-winning improvisers The Showstoppers return to present the Alternative Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday 15 May.
Joined by an all-star cast of celebrities, the event includes Les Dennis, Russell Kane and London Hughes, alongside Le Gateau Chocolat as judges, and Grace Mouat, Jordan Gray and Mike McShane. More stars are yet to be announced.
Featuring brand new songs that parody your favourite Eurovision genres, expert commentary and interactive voting, The Showstoppers are set to recreate extraordinary production values, high camp and musical merriment.
It’s time to don your sparkliest outfits, brightest make-up and tallest shoes and get ready for a night of Europop!
In 2020, the Alternative Eurovision Song Content raised over £7,000 for The Care Workers’ Charity.
Songs will be written and recorded by The Showstoppers and guest stars in collaboration with the company’s musical directors Duncan Walsh Atkins, Christopher Ash and Jordan Clarke. Hosts include Pippa Evans and Andrew Pugsley.
The event will be livestreamed on 15 May.
