News: New dates announced for The Shark is Broken at the Ambassadors Theatre

New dates have been announced for the West End transfer of The Shark is Broken at the Ambassadors Theatre.

Written by Ian Shaw and Joseph Nixon, and directed by Guy Masterson, the production sold out at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2019, and is set to play a limited London run from 9 October 2021 to 15 January 2022.

The Shark is Broken takes audiences behind the scenes of iconic blockbuster Jaws, in a brilliantly funny and deeply moving new play that imagines what happened onboard “The Orca” when the cameras stopped rolling.

Co-writer Ian Shaw stars as his father Robert Shaw.

Produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, the show was set to arrive in the West End in 2020, but was postponed due to the pandemic.

Cape Cod, 1974: shooting on Jaws has stalled. The film’s lead actors Robert Shaw, Roy Scheider and Richard Dreyfuss are stuck on a boat, at the mercy of foul weather and a faulty mechanical co-star. Awash with alcohol and ambition, three hammered sharks start to bare their teeth…
